A developer who can't leave well enough alone. Writing about what happens when you open the source and count for yourself.

I'm Ishpreet — a founding engineer at an early-stage startup. I joined as a frontend intern and converted to the founding team; now I work across the stack.

I don't just use tools — I open the source, read the data, and figure out what's actually happening. This blog is where I publish the findings. Technical research, deep dives into developer tooling, and investigations into the systems we use every day. The goal is always the same: understand how things actually work, not how the marketing says they work.

When an investigation turns up something worth fixing, I build the fix. ccmetrics, a Rust CLI for accurate Claude Code token accounting, is the most recent example. The rest lives on the projects page.
